Twenty-three year old beauty entrepreneur cum Chartered Accountant, Funto Oni, presented her first book ‘Beautified‘ to the public last Sunday 18th August 2013 at an exclusive launch event witnessed by family, friends and the media.

It was an evening just as colourful as the 120 page book on beauty which has been described as “every woman’s amazing guide to true beauty”.

Some guests who witnessed the launch include Pastor Kunle Soriyan of the Fountain of Life Church; Pastor Jimi Tewe of Inspiro Consulting; Bankole Williams - author of “Engaged to a Job I hate” and Steve Harris, Life Strategist and author of “From College Drop-out to Corporate Sell-out” & “From Friend to Fiancee”; Esteem Coach and friend of the author, Princess Simysola; Blogger, Olorisupergal and Mrs. Love Olaleye of Flawless Makeovers who trained the author, as well as journalists from several media houses.

Guests were treated to awesome music by the likes of David (Project Fame), TJ Sax and comedy from MC EmmaOhMaGod (of CoolFM and Wazobia FM), Dee One and SLK.

According to ‘Seun Salami, Head of Publishing, Bookvine, publisher of the book, “Beautified is the complete beauty and style guide for every woman as well as men who care about their women.” He described Funto as an extremely passionate and purpose driven lady with a radiating personality.

His view was also echoed by Arukaino Umokoro of Punch newspapers, who said “the author’s radiating personality shined through in the book” during his review.

Nigeria’s oil city, Port Harcourt witnessed a major party last weekend as the Hennessy Artistry 2013 Club Tour stormed the garden city with some of Nigeria’s biggest superstars.

Hosted by popular on air personality Olisa Adibua, the event held on Saturday 24th August 2013 at the Lamborghini club in GRA, Port Harcourt and saw guests from different parts of the country come to witness the ultimate Hennessy experience.

With energetic performances from fast rising acts: and Phyno, the event kicked off on a high note and fans sure got in the party mood. Our very won Ejanla Dbanj brought the house down with pulsating performances also thrilling guests in attendance with his first live performance of this year’s Artistry theme song.

Port Harcourt’s biggest artiste, Burna Boy was also in town to party with Dbanj and fans present.

Dbanj will make his second club appearance in Lagos later in September. The next stop for the Hennessy Artistry club tour this weekend is Club DV8 in Victoria Island, Lagos and will feature performances from Phyno, Kay Switch and Chidinma.

This year’s Hennessy Artistry 2013 supporting acts include Olamide, Chidinma, Vector, Pucado, Phyno, Seyi Shay, Show Dem Camp, Kay Switch and Sean Tizzle. They were announced three weeks ago and have promised fans the time of their lives this year.

Darey's show last night was incredible. The best show I've seen in Nigeria...hands down. I wouldn't know how to describe it even if I tried. But here's something I can tell you for sure. The success of the show had nothing to do with Kim Kardashian. It was all Darey, his wife and Soul Music. Kim K was there for like two seconds and took the next flight back home. She appeared at the beginning of the show, said a few words and vamoosed. Some people who paid to see her didn't get the chance.

She did the red carpet for several minutes, joined us at the pre-dinner event for like 10/15 minutes, did the photo-up with guests for a few minutes, then appeared on stage at the beginning of the show for like 20 seconds. That was it! Hope they didn't pay her more than N2, 000...lol. I was so annoyed.

Goldie Died Of Drugs, pulmonary embolism – Sources

Even though the cause of her death is yet to be confirmed, new reports surfacing online claim that she died from pulmonary embolism while a few other sites claim that she died of drugs.

Susan Oluwabimpe Harvey, popularly known as Goldie and Nigeria’s lady Gaga died Thursday night at Reddington Hospital, Victoria Island, Lagos, barely few hours after she arrived from Los Angeles, United States of America.

“Goldie died of complications from the use of drugs. She had complications from the use of dope ” PM News reports

“A close source who is close to Goldie told us that she had been into this drug stuff for some time now…and it is believed that contributed to her death.”

“I guess things went wrong this time around” the source reportedly said.

Meanwhile, sources from Reddington hospital, where Goldie died last night, disclosed that the likely cause of her sudden death is pulmonary embolism.

A report on National Heart, Lung, and Blood Institute’s website, noted that “pulmonary embolism is a very serious condition. It can damage the lungs and other organs in the body and cause death.

According to close friends, the singer and former Big Brother contestant, was a frequent traveller and had complained of stress in the past weeks, but insisted she was fine.

Her corpse was deposited at the LASU General Hospital this morning.

Until her death, Goldie, who represented Nigeria at last year’s Big Brother Amplified (BBA) in South Africa, was signed to Kennis Music.

May her soul rest in peace!

REVEALED! The ‘Secret’ Goldie Kept From The World

The secret Goldie Harvey tried to hide from the world – maybe not hide, she was probably trying to protect him – has finally been exposed.

Years ago, Goldie gave an in-depth interview to a Nigerian newspaper and there she talked about several intimate subjects – her mother’s death when she was a young child, living and studying for her degree in the UK, her entrepreneurial pursuits and also her marriage.
However, she never made mention of her marriage in other interviews, she preferred keeping it PRIVATE – So Many Nigerians, if not all, assumed that she was either divorced or UN-married…especially when the Prezzo love drama set in.

It was 3am in the morning, when i woke up i picked up my Blackberry to see new updates and i saw a lot of pm's with differen t information on Goldie... i personally thought it was all a prank until i saw Deji Falope's update, followed by Toks (Naeto C's manager), and a lot of other notable people who wouldn't raise such false alarm, i can't explain what i felt but i definitely couldn't go back to sleep.
